Pray for Our Neighbors
Pray for the people
in the city where we are planted
where we find ourselves
out in the world
Prayer for our neighbors
none of them truly strangers
all of them known to God
just as we are
Pray for our brothers,
our sisters, in this distant country
offering them love
as we have been commanded
Pray continuously,
without ceasing
bearing witness
to the grace of God
Pray for the people
all those around us
that they would turn from the world
and return to almighty God
