The springs in the deserts
the water for the people
all of these starting
starting with love
Our hearts are called
to seek out the needy
to reach out to our neighbors
all over the world
The earth richly
blessed so completely
food and water enough
to feed the whole world
Springs from the deserts
hope for all people
something that could happen
if we focused on love
War and strife
greed and oppression
the multitude of sin
keeping us apart
One people, one nation
all of us children
God calling us
to reach out in love
All of the world
not needing to be starving
not needing to know thirst
all over the world
We need to begin
to raise over voices
joining together
to bring hope to all
Starting with love
today, not tomorrow
offering love
in place of all else
Hope in our hearts
love overflowing
God’s grace enough
to heal the whole world
