Out onto the Street - 2
When we are faithful
offering true hospitality
when we are serving our neighbor
caring for each other
it is when we leave our building
getting out of our comfort
when we are sharing our witness, God’s love
alive and out on the street
Only when we share
the grace poured out
only when we are passing on the message
does the Word truly get out
Not in the pews
from the pulpit of the church
only out onto the street
let the people scream and shout
We are commissioned
not to sit in one place
to go and serve our neighbors
to the ends of the earth
God’s story to tell
the hope of all of us here
not something to save and to treasure
but to share will all mankind
