Not some candy-coated
some rose-colored perspective
my eyes wide open
to my current state
Yet will I rejoice
joyful in my being
even when calamity comes
I will trust in the Lord
God there with me
for me all of my days
leading me through the waters
the fires of my way
Leading me in my trials
there when I fear
leading me to rejoice
ever in His care
