Let our hearts sing
the song of the season
the coming of our Savior
down to the earth
Advent upon us
the season of waiting
our hearts opening
to the promise of God
Turn from the rushing
the mindless frenzy
the stresses of our lives
joyless excess
Center on the Christ-child
the one who climbed the cross
the King in his heavens
waiting to return
We should be singing
shouting from the mountain
coming to the center
the truth in His Word
Get your lamps ready
oil in the vessels
our King will come again
riding on the clouds
