The Hope of the Nations
the Prince of Peace
the Messiah, the Savior
the Lord, Jesus Christ
He was born on that day
that singular, amazing day
coming to the earth as a man
walking, ever, to the cross
Born to teach us
to love one another
God pouring out power
to bring us back to Him
Leaving the heavens
that we would know joy
restoring us to Him
that peace would wash the earth
Contemplating that day
in this season of Advent
walking in anticipation
of the coming of our King
