In broad brush strokes
in tiny threads of light
drawing the tapestry
getting it right
Telling the parts
the good and the bad
revealing each other
in light and shadow
coming together
one strand in time
The words telling
the hopes and the sorrows
sharing richly
for all our tomorrows
Only in hindsight
the tapestry finished
colors woven, completed
the image revealed

describing a person’s life
writing an Affidavit for court
sharing something deeper
in words of poetry
