Christ is not Racist – v2

Perhaps stating the obvious
but the title not persuasive
because those who claim him
seeking to scare others

Christ is love, alive
God’s love come down
come to walk among us
to live as a man, in human body

Christ gave his life, a sacrifice
that we might live, in union
taking on our shame, our stain
drinking of our sin, the cup

Christ is not racist
his love for all mankind
Samaritans, the others
all the peoples, the tribes

Offering all his grace
his love of the cross
seeking to redeem us
paying that awful cost

Stand with Jesus, now
against hate, injustice
speak out against them
those burning that cross

For they are not Christian
not Christian in the least
seeking to hurt, to harm
to intimidate our neighbors

Christ is not racist
no matter who claim him
they are of Satan
children of the dark
