God answers our prayers
he loves us completely
yet God says to wait
in his time for our healing
Anxious, selfish
like a child in a tantrum
decibels rising,
pacing about the floor
Listening to Madison Avenue
to the chatter, the chaos
the words on the TV
the urgency of Twitter
We don’t have time to wait
we need it now, yesterday,
instant coffee in the microwave
texting while we are driving
Yet God says to wait
healing in his time only
nothing we can do but wait
and have peace in his provision
