Do we resemble the leaves
shining in witness, bright
colors,
singing to our Creator
our praises bursting
shouting from the treetops
Do we recognize
the moments of the seasons
that our days are numbered
yet known only to God
Our time is precious
here on this journey
called by our Master
to serve out in the world
Needing to learn
the lessons of nature
the precision of the Creator
setting all according to His
plan
Here for our time
to teach us the lessons
drawing us to Him
that we may serve
Joining all creation
shining brightly
witnesses to grace
in our time on the earth
Sharing with the leaves
the brightness of autumn
the seasons of our lives
before we leave this earth
The beauty of our sharing
God’s love descended
of following God’s
commandments
the judgment at the end
when we look into God’s face

the bright colors of leaves create a glow amongst
the gray of the morning. hmmmm, something to think about.”
