Saved for that special night
the Star burning
the hope of all mankind
the Savior appearing
One candle in the circle
the center, the Christ
all the others burning
waiting for that night
The Eve of His coming
his humble stable birth
waiting for the Christ-child
to descend to the earth
Our hope, our joy
any peace we feel
all in the Christ
before Him do we kneel
Love come down
washing over us
God’s grace for us
restoring us to Him
Only through the Christ
through the gate of Jesus
bringing us to God
at the end of the ages
