A prayer for myself
a Gentile, outside His faith
doubting, a child, unsure
of His power, His might
The Messiah before me
dying on that day
on the cross, salvation
proof of God’s grace
Father, forgive me
for this was Christ’s prayer
to lift up all people
even those unaware
A prayer for myself
not the people of the book
to me who strives
to follow His word
