United Through Christ – v2

One people, one body
the church all over the world
united through Christ
unity restored

Through His sacrifice
His blood, the cross
all of mankind one
coming before the Lord

Each one, from every tribe,
every nation, one creed
falling in humble belief
on our knees before Your throne

Many sheep yet one flock
following the same Shepherd
leading us through the shadow of death
to the green meadows
of highest heaven

Ephesians 2:14-18
Philippians 1:3-5, 9-11 (Call to Worship)
Prayer of Confession
Loving God, hold not our sins against us; but
hold us up against our sins; so that in you we are
reminded, not of our sin, but of your forgiveness,
not just of what we are but what we might become.
-          based on prayer four, “Hold Us Up Against Our Sins”,
The Prayers of Soren Kierkegaard,
Father in Heaven! Hold not our sins up against us but
hold us up against our sins so that the thought of You
when it wakens in our soul, and each time it wakens,
should not remind us of what we have committed but
of what You did forgive, not of how we went astray
but of how You did save us!
hymn, We Are Called, #2172, The Faith We Sing
