Whispers of the martyrs
prayer in the memory
murmurs of history
sighs of a cloud of angels
for the troubles in that land
Not at peace, silence
torn, still in struggle
turmoil, anguish
not knowing rest
not yet, at least
Hope for their future
through their rebirth
their struggles, their triumphs
their casting off of the tyrants
that they would come together
In their freedom, the light
That they would walk
that the dead would know peace
that the murmurs of history
would become songs of relief
