The glow of Christ radiating
transformed on the mountain
under the cloud, the
presence of God
the voice of God speaking
claiming His Son
telling the disciples
to listen to Him
His light shining,
there on the mountaintop
His glory revealed to the
fishermen
His disciples seeing
the true nature of Christ
brilliant, His face aglow,
His countenance a fire
Touching the disciples,
changed in that moment
no longer the carpenter’s
son
the days more urgent
when they went down
from the mountain top
His words with more power to
them
