Naked like Peter
before the risen Christ
out in the world
wanting to hide my shame
my sin upon me
jumping into the water
hurriedly getting dressed
Denying my calling
speaking when I should be
silent
wandering in my old life
old habits, old patterns
fishing when I should be
sowing
being a witness
a vessel of God’s love
