His betrothed,
was with child;
how can this be,
what shall he do
Send her away
quietly, with respect
so she would not be persecuted
to avoid her stoning
But an angel shared a vision
the Holy Spirit the means;
a virgin still she remains
fulfilling the prophecy of old
But, what to do, still the same
now the child, Jesus,
shall be the Son of God;
Oh boy!
Another father,
with unlimited visitation rights,
such a job, such responsibility;
to be the step-father of God!
