What we believe we know
static, eternal, captured,
certain within our bones
each chapter and every verse
our history, the moments
as if an image, frozen,
permanent in time
yet memory is a fiction
a creation of the present, the now;
We recast our memories
Photoshop the images
changing history to our purpose
how we feel now, this moment,
reshaping the fabric of our past
