Looking
down at my hands
the
blood-stained bread
the
brokenness of Jesus;
Ripped
apart, broken on the cross,
held there
with the nails
the spikes
of my rebellion;
my
disobedience His crime;
the cross
God’s judgment;
My blood
poured out,
his body broken
for my sin
I am broken
in this life,
separated
from God;
I am healed
by the blood of Jesus
poured at
the cross.
