looking
down at my hands
the
blood-stained bread;
we see the
brokenness of Christ
ripped
apart, broken on the cross.
held there
with the nails
the spikes
of my rebellion
my
disobedience to God;
my blood
poured out,
his body broken
for my sin
by what I
have done.
I am broken
in this life
separated
from God;
I am healed
by the blood of Christ
poured at
the cross.
