Forever changed, not in this
moment;
but forever changed, by the
power of these words;
Imprinted within them, these
words of Jesus
what He was about to suffer,
His path in this life.
They could never eat bread
the same way again;
they could never drink wine
without remembering
these fateful words that
Christ spoke.
The bread His body, the wine
His blood
poured out as a blessing, a
sacrifice.
God’s mercy, His prayer for
all of us
That we would believe, that
we would remember
that each time we broke the
bread, each time the cup
that we would remember
Christ’s sacrifice, God’s love for us
Holding nothing back, dying
for us.
