Praying to the Lord, bowing on my knees
knowing that he answers my prayers
God is my help that is ever present
when I but turn to him
He is beside me, ever,
in trials of trial and strain
watching over my like a parent
picking me up when I stumble like a child
Throughout my life
even when I deny his name
always with me in the storm
the wind, the snows, the rain
Comfort in knowing his hand
is ever upon my trembling
caring for me when I hurt
ever present all my life
