Christ on that road
more of the Easter story
not just the tomb empty
Christ appearing to them
Walking with them
sorrowful, dejected
not knowing what to believe
their Lord presumed dead
The rising of the savior
from the earthly grave
amazing to them both
more than they could understand
Awareness in the breaking of the bread
Christ giving himself for us
running back to the upper room
to share the good news with them
