Peace on that morning

Hiding, in secret
their lives in confusion
the disciples in the upper room
all together on that morning
hiding, behind locked doors

Peace in the morning
coming in an instant
the risen savior
standing before them
offering them peace

A balm for their ache
made whole by his presence
Christ triumphant
in victory
raised from the dead.
