For Their Captors

Part of accepting
of settling in
of living in our exile
in this foreign land

To pray for the rulers
those who are near us
even to pray for our captors
those who surround us

To build and to grow
to have children and to prosper
to bear witness to God
wherever we are

Trusting in God
where he has placed us
a purposes for our time here
messengers of His grace

Prays for all the people
even our captors
that through us they would be changed
coming to know God
