Buffeted by winds
no grounding, no center
a constant barrage
the dim of today,
the roar of tomorrow
coming at us in waves
reaching deafening crescendos
the whirlwind around us
the maelstrom of these days
how easy for us to be troubled
mired in our clay
how hard to find the peace of Jesus
when we fail to obey
