We are healed by the love of Christ

We are healed by the love of Christ
his compassion for us
knowing how weak, unworthy
yet dying to heal our sin
Christ showed us mercy
love beyond all measure
grace heaped upon us
when he descended from heaven
to walk here among us
to die on the rugged cross
healing us in that sharing
becoming the lamb of God
the priest becoming the offering
upon the altar of the cross
