Rice Paper

What if our feet were painted
covered in printers ink
what if our journey
our walk of faith
was over rice paper

Our feet leaving footprints
each one characters
as written by a stylus
bolder with our faith
what if we left a mark
permanent in time

Marks left forever
like dinosaur tracks
for someone to read them
in some distant future
the words written
written on the paper
the pages of our lives
