a prize not of this world

we seek a reward
a prize at the end of the race
this journey, this quest
this time in the fight
a prize not of this world
not one that will rust
a prize of the next world
of heaven, that will last
we seek a reward
this is why we run
punishing our body in this life
that we reach the finish line
the goal set before us
through the gate of the cross
the narrow path, the way
which leads to paradise
