Did his word give comfort
there is the upper room
surrounded by foreboding
the lowering gloom
My peace I give you
their Master spoke to them
peace not of this earth
but peace so they may live
The peace he could give
from heaven above
knowing what would come
the Spirit within
My peace I give you
our Master speaks to us
abiding within us
ever guiding our feet
