breaking bread together
we lift a prayer to our Creator
to the God of Abraham
and his sons, Ishmael and Isaac;
we gather round your tables
offering up our prayer
thanking You for the bounty
for the abundance of the harvest
for our communion with you
if we live in peace and love
We pray for others
our loved ones distant
for peoples round the world
those gathered in fear, trembling
not living in peace, not knowing love;
we gather round the tables
offering up our prayer
that peace would find its way
into each beating heart
that nations would find a path
that we may live in peace
We pray a prayer of Thanksgiving
gathered round the tables
family here with us
friends by our sides
we pause to lift our praise;
we gather round the tables
offering up our prayer
thanking You for your provision
for the abundance of the harvest
for our communion with you
may we live in peace and love
