We bow in humble thanksgiving
as a family around a table
we gather as a people
to raise our holy prayers
We are thankful to God
to the God of creation
to God of the harvest
for the bounty of the garden
For the bushels of grain
the abundance of our table
we praise your holy name
We are thankful to God
We are thankful to the Creator
the maker of heaven and earth
for the bounty of the harvest
for God’s presence here with us
For all we are given
for the sun in the morning
for rain in its season
to God alone we praise
We are thankful to the Savior
who came and died for us
who descended from heaven
to teach us to love
We are thankful for his witness
his submission to God
humble as a servant
bearing the rugged cross
We are thankful for his dying
that sin would die with him
we are thankful for Easter
that we are set free
We are thankful to the Savior
who rose and is seated on high
we are thankful for the promise
that we shall never die
We are thankful to the Spirit
who walks here with us
guiding each trembling step
in the work God has for us
We are thankful for the guidance
for the chance at inner peace
calm in the storms of life
our rock in times of need
