A patina of November

rolling hills shrouded
the browns and yellows
hidden, encased
a patina of November

frost before warming
held in its grip
sparkling crystals
rising to the hills

the fields were alive with frost this morning
on NH Route 107 in Epsom, NH, Southbound,
with many vistas of white over the reeds and grain stalks, as
at 43.213132,-71.285279
going to the Deerfield Community School
