The door opened
by the victory of Christ
the rising of the sacrifice
from the grave, the tomb,
giving me a new life
Knocking on the door
that I would let Him in
a gift we unwrap
not one God forces on us;
in opening the heartstrings
Christ enters in
Changing me utterly
cleansing my heart
though I am still of clay
I struggle to follow
offering me tomorrow
today again a new start
To share God’s message
to add my humble voice
being the light to the
nations
while remaining dust,
salt of this earth
