Pulling Up the Clay – v3

From the ground

from the earth, the dust

the soil, lifeless;

Adding water,

pulling up the clay

the Potter’s touch

The wheel turning

to shape,  to form

guiding the clay,;

pulling up the clay

there is life in the process

to be shaped in God’s likeness

Changing with the turning

by the Potter’s loving hands

vessels to be used;

new lives forming

within our mothers’ wombs

guided by the Potter

Pulling up the clay

giving to His touch

to make our vessel;

none of this by chance,

our hairs, our days numbered

by the Potter, in His book
