blind to the needs of others
hoarding earthly treasure
no vision, awareness,
no eyes to see,
the harm of our choices
what we will say
to the judge, the Master,
when we have to account
for what we have not done
Giving away our abundance
what we do not need
given to the poor and less fortunate
our neighbors in need
what will we say
to our God, our Lord
what we have not done
what we have just stored away
more than what we need
full barns our stumbling block
getting in the way of God
