The temerity to Rebuke God – v4

Would I have been so ready,
(okay, what was he thinking?)
as Peter had done;
the temerity to rebuke God
to tell Christ what to do

Would I have thought of myself,
as he clearly had done,
not wanting Christ to die;
challenging His words
wanting him to be an earthly King
not enthroned in the sky
