in the garden with Jesus
drawn to the rock
to the place where God knelt
the place where Christ poured out his heart
to empty my will, completely,
as Jesus chose to do
to submit my life to God
in prayer to the Father
to turn my path over
to the Father as Christ did that night
so is our prayer, my hope,
my prayer in this season
brought back to the garden, Gethsemane,
with Jesus on that night.
