we come to the table as slaves
to the wages of sin, to death;
we sit at the table with them
with the disciples of Christ.
we leave that meal free
from the judgment of God;
Christ’s perfect sacrifice,
His body and His blood
Christ paid the way for us.
He gives us new life;
we are redeemed in the meal,
His body and His blood.
