I see the pain on their face
The water all over the place;
It is terrible to see
I ache inside of me.
Far north from their plight
I hope they all can take flight;
To escape the pain they feel
And know our prayers for them are real.
We know You can touch their hearts
To make sense of their devastation and loss;
So watch over them all we pray
And hold them close to You each day.
Dear Lord, hear this plea
That they can be free;
From the loss they know so well,
In that toxic gumbo of hell.
It is terrible to see
I ache inside of me.
Far north from their plight
I hope they all can take flight;
To escape the pain they feel
And know our prayers for them are real.
We know You can touch their hearts
To make sense of their devastation and loss;
So watch over them all we pray
And hold them close to You each day.
Dear Lord, hear this plea
That they can be free;
From the loss they know so well,
In that toxic gumbo of hell.
