The bramble overflowing,
undergrowth abloom
but a hint of a path
one long abandoned.
Left to grow fallow.
Forgotten, up the bank,
out into the wood
away from my home.
Life that unknown journey,
maybe a hidden rock wall,
the unfamiliar path before
me
calling me forward, out
into the world.
The unspoiled path into
the wood
calling, beckoning me on
to move from my comfort
out into the unknown.
The whisper on the wind
a shiver at my back,
yet a call echoing within
me
to turn and not look back.
Venturing forth, yet
uncertain,
not knowing yet the way;
needing the Spirit to
guide me
each and every day.
