In the parables, in these stories
in these teachings from Jesus
almost never seeing judgment.
Christ forgives the sinner;
Christ only showed judgment
overturning the tables
and with the fig tree.
Something important
in the unexpected action
the harsh treatment
the tree forever dead.
We must not be sleeping
sitting around quiet;
we must be active
being ever fruitful,
bearing good fruit.
Not like the barren fig tree,
a foretaste of judgment,
for Christ is hungry
looking for the good fruit.
Those who are worthy
who will be gather to the feast.
