Her knight in shining armor
her world in that bed
rising to his side
wishing he would find rest
His breathing slowing
she drew closer to him
sharing the final minutes
before he left this earth
Sighing, dying, he peacefully slipped away
silence now in the room
sitting there with them
the bride and her handsome bridegroom
finally getting his rest
