The words of old
of the ancient psalm
ever on my lips
the lines I have spoken often
though I have never read the words
A prayer for help
from you almighty God
relief in my oppression
deliverance by your hand
A lament of this believer
so many back through time
harken to my cries
life the burden from my head
Make the way straight oh Lord
that I may walk in peace
forget me not oh God
I need your loving embrace
