Trying to be faithful
to the teachings of Christ
seeking his grace
in my daily life
Straining forward
against the bit of my resistance
wanting to lead
when I should be led
Taking his yoke
raising to my shoulders
actually lowering myself
to feel it around my neck
Only then able
walking with my savior
going with my brother
in the way that leads to life
