I rose, went forth

My chains released
from worry, the world
turned inward
to my sacred Lord
I rose, went forth
feeling his love
knowing he alone
shed his blood
My sin set free
the stain washed away
going forth
to sing his praise
To tell the world
of our Savior’s love
in humble submission
shedding his blood
For you and me
to set us free
Why hold onto our chains
We need to believe
