A shiver with the room
a shudder as they lied
denying the truth
plain to our sight

Wondering aloud
what it must have been like
too close to evil
feeling its presence

The foreboding shadow
of the death of their lives
the freedoms they denied
coming to roost

Here we will die
more than prophetic
the shadow of death
the reaper coming

Their lies unending
the delusion, madness
coming to an end
in death and sadness
