To Have Love for Our Enemies

God’s calling not some vague notion
his law explicit, to love our neighbors
yet more than this, Christ spoke of love
to have love for our enemies
all those on earth

To love sacrificially
without end, to love our enemies
as much as our friends
to care for the captives
so all may be free
free to come before Jesus
to sit with our King
