The people whom you call us to be

The chasm between our wanton selves
the people whom you call us to be
there, in that gap, the lamb of God
filling that empty space
Standing in that breach,
that place of our fallenness
bringing us back to God
making us new again

Beyond our understanding
yet we sense the power
the gift of your grace so immense
stilling us for this hour
Together in worship
dedicating our lives
offering ourselves up to you
our Creator, our Savior, our Guide
