In stating false truth
in denying reality
fear in his defiance
in their deference to him

Power eroding
the nation ablaze
blood of the martyrs
kindling the flames

His madness devolving
the nation at odds
the truth of his oppression
coming into view

A nation in peril
because he remains in power
prayers for a resolution
without so much blood
